Ants are one of the most common pest problems in Brisbane. Black house ants march across kitchen benches, coastal brown ants push sand up through pavers and tile grout, and some ants move into wall cavities and power points. Spraying the trails you can see only deals with a small part of the colony. We take bookings for ant control in Brisbane and send a nearby independent crew that works out where the nest is and treats it.
When you call, we ask where the ants are coming in, what size and colour they are, and whether you have seen small piles of sand or soil around the house. The crew we book then traces the trails back to the source. Inside, they often use slow acting baits the ants carry back to the nest. Outside, they treat the ground around the home, pavers, garden edges and any nest sites they find.
- Tracing ant trails back to the nest outside or in the walls
- Slow acting ant baits for kitchens and bathrooms
- Perimeter treatment around slabs, paths and garden beds
- Treatment of sand piles and nests under pavers
- Tips on keeping benches, pet bowls and bins less inviting
Baits need a few days to work, so try not to spray or wipe away the ants feeding on them. It can feel strange to leave them alone, but they are carrying the bait back to the queen. Trails usually thin out over a week or so.
Ant problems often flare up in Brisbane before and after summer storms, when rain floods nests and pushes ants indoors. Ant control can be added to a spider treatment on the same visit. Call 07 3543 7770 for upfront pricing and a booking with the local crew.
